Install from your computer, once
Plug your iPhone into a Mac or PC and click Set Up iPhone. Elsewhere signs the phone app with your own free Apple ID and installs it. Takes about four minutes.

Before you buy, the honest requirements
- A Mac or Windows PC, once. Apple requires a computer to install an app this way. You won't need it again afterwards.
- iOS 17.4 or later, with Developer Mode switched on — Apple's own toggle, in Settings.
- Wi-Fi to start a spoof. iOS only runs the service Elsewhere uses while the phone is on a local network.
- Elsewhere left running in the background. Force-quit it and your real location returns about thirty seconds later.
Questions
Do I need a computer?
Once, to install the phone app — Apple requires a computer to sideload an app this way. After that the computer stays home.
Which iPhones work?
Any iPhone or iPad on iOS 17.4 or later. You'll switch on Developer Mode in Settings, which is Apple's own toggle.
Does it work on cellular?
Starting a spoof needs Wi-Fi. iOS only runs the developer service Elsewhere talks to while the phone is on a local network, so cellular alone isn't enough to begin — this is Apple's limit, not ours.
Can my accounts get banned?
Elsewhere doesn't touch your Apple ID. But some apps and games detect a simulated location and may restrict accounts that use one. That risk is yours to weigh.
What happens if I force-quit the app?
The spoof ends about thirty seconds later and real GPS returns. Leave Elsewhere running in the background and it holds — through the lock screen and other apps.
Is this safe for my iPhone?
Yes. There's no jailbreak and no modification to iOS. The only thing added is the Elsewhere app, which you can delete like any other.
